An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist-Senior, Falls Co-Responder to deliver senior Occupational Therapy / Physiotherapy services within the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Falls Co-Response Program. This service provides a multi-tiered, multidisciplinary response to Triple Zero (000) calls where a patients' condition relates to a fall.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

You will work as a two-member crew comprising a paramedic and health practitioner (Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist). You will collaboratively complete a comprehensive assessment, provide brief intervention and together determine the most appropriate disposition pathway for the patient.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver independent high level Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- This role will work as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes paramedics and allied health professionals.
- This role will work across a 7-day roster, inclusive of public holidays, working 10 hour shifts between 6:00am and 4:00pm. Overtime at the end of shift may be required within this role to meet clinical requirements.
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $157,359 p.a., comprising salary rates: $64.64 - $69.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed term temporary part time position available until December 2028).
