About Malanda State High School
We are a rural school catering for approximately 580 students in Years 7 to 12. Our dedicated team is committed to actively preparing every one of our students for life beyond school, where they are capable of enjoying the benefits of our society as a consequence of being actively employed. Due to our community and size we are able to engage with students and their families on an individual level to ensure students are supported to build their skills and knowledge, and achieve the academic results needed to leave our school bound for University, TAFE or to enter meaningful employment. Your Role
Malanda State High School is excited to recruit a Deputy Principal in a temporary capacity. The ideal applicant will lead our teaching and learning improvement agenda, including whole school curriculum, pedagogy and engagement. This role encompasses the line management of middle leaders, teachers, and support staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
