About the Role
- Provide high-quality psychology services, including comprehensive assessments, individual counselling, and facilitation of group interventions, tailored to meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. Ensure that all practices respect clients' rights to self-determination and confidentiality, aligning with the professional and ethical standards of the Inala Indigenous Health Service.
- Perform psychology duties autonomously within the work unit while actively contributing to the multidisciplinary team. Minimal supervision is required, reflecting a high level of expertise and capability in clinical practice.
- Use professional judgement to manage complex cases, adapting evidence-based practices to suit individual client needs. Ensure that interventions are client-centred, culturally appropriate, and grounded in reliable clinical evidence.
- Provide leadership in psychology by contributing to the development and refinement of clinical practices, procedures, and protocols. Foster collaboration with other disciplines to ensure an integrated approach to the continuum of care.
