Key responsibilities
In the role of Manager (Marketing) you will lead a team of professionals in planning and implementing effective marketing activities for all major and minor public transport initiatives across Queensland. This position contributes significantly to the positioning of the Translink brand and you will provide high level strategic marketing advice to Translink division's Leadership Team and key stakeholders on issues relating to public transport across Queensland. Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Lead a team of marketing, social media and design professionals in researching, developing, delivering and reporting on effective strategies to promote and increase sales of public transport products and services.
• Provide high level strategic marketing advice, options and recommendations to the Director (Marketing and Communications), Executive Director (Customer Solutions) and other senior officers on issues relating to public transport across Queensland.
• Deliver projects that improve the customer experience on Translink services.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including service providers, industry, members of the public and different levels of government to ensure Translink Division is achieving its goals.
• Manage Translink's brand presence across all touchpoints and enhance Translink's brand value.
• Develop the strategy and operational plan for the marketing team and ensure effective delivery against this operational plan within allocated budget and to agreed timeframes.
• Effectively manage a large team to produce high quality marketing collateral for Translink programs and projects.
• Drive value-for-money outcomes for the business in leading budget development, procurement, resource management, and supplier management activities.
• Provide leadership and proactively manage a high performing team by fostering TMRs values, recruiting skilled staff, managing staff capability and performance, appraising and developing staff, managing change and ensuring ethical behaviour and decision making.
This role reports to the Director (Marketing and Communications) and manages a team of 14 with 2 direct reports.

• Marketing experience - Demonstrated specialist knowledge and skills to lead and supervise teams with diverse skillsets, including strategy development and implementation of contemporary marketing activities.
