The Principal Lead - Public Health position provides strategic leadership and expertise for the design, coordination and implementation of complex health promotion policies to improve health and prevent chronic disease, as well as support for relevant research and evaluation.

The position also provides specialised advice and analysis of policy opportunities and preventive health strategies and interventions at the state and national level.

Your opportunity

As the Principal Lead - Public Health you will be involved in:

  • Supporting the organisation's policy and advocacy work with proven expertise in the application of evidence, theory and judgement in planning and analysing preventive health policies and interventions in a range of settings.
  • Providing authoritative advice to the Director - Policy, Executive Leadership team, partners, and other stakeholders including members of the public, to influence strategic policy and delivery of complex and/or innovative preventive health interventions.
  • Leading the development and delivery of strategic projects, ensuring their efficient execution and contribution to organisational objectives.
