About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to supports the CMO/DMS who is the medical professional lead for all medical officers of RBWH. This role also supports two Deputy Directors of Medical Services. The position is ideally suited to a final year RACMA candidate who has completed all the RACMA assessment pieces and/ or requires additional accredited supervised training time or a newly qualified Fellow in RACMA to support their transition into specialist medical administration roles.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Contribute to leave relief for medical administration positions at the RBWH and at other Metro North facilities, as required.
- Identify and lead strategic, operational and clinical reforms, innovation and redesign initiatives in line with broader RBWH and Metro North plans and directions.
- Facilitate clinical and corporate governance arrangements including responding to Coroner and the Office of the Health Ombudsman (OHO) correspondence and patient feedback.
- Provide support to Directors and Executive Directors in the management of medical staff especially in the area of wellbeing, fatigue, recruitment, retention, good roster management, succession planning and underperformance.
