As the Operational Officer, you will provide efficient and effective linen service duties, including production and distribution of linen-to-Linen Service clients, achieving efficiency whilst maintaining a safe work environment and delivering a balanced workflow that will meet our customer requirements.
What you'll do
- Sorting of soiled linen
- Feeding linen into production equipment to fold and iron.
- Hand fold of linen
- Packing of clean linen
- Distribution of linen at facilities
- Operation of tug equipment
- Delivery of clean linen to wards
- Collection of soiled linen from wards
- General cleaning duties, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, rubbish collection and removal in all areas of the facility.
- Other cleaning duties as required.
About you
This is a manual handling position requiring you to:
- repetitive manual handling of laundry items
- feeding linen into machines
- handling linen items
- sorting soiled linen.
- Some workstations require the use of specialised PPE.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use automated machinery and some computerised equipment.
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders and team members and ability to effectively communicate and influence staff.
