An exciting opportunity exists for an Advanced Allied Health Assistant who will contribute to total patient management by providing advanced clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of an Allied Health Professional (AHP) and contribute to the efficient operation of the Sunshine Coast Persistent Pain Management Service (SCHHS) by undertaking other non-treatment activities as required.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide a defined range of specialised clinical screening assessments for patients with complex needs, as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.
- Provide a defined range of treatments for patients with complex conditions, including using decision support tools, clinical pathways and patient guidelines.
- Identify potential changes needed in treatment programs using results from standardised assessment tools and gain endorsement to make these changes following discussion with the supervising Allied Health Professional
- Provide comprehensive education to patients or groups of patients within defined topic areas.
Remuneration value up to $92 813 p.a., comprising salary between $76 076- $81 346 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (CA4). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
