The Customer Services Branch (CSB) is a part of the Customer Services, Safety & Regulation division and is accountable for providing trusted and secure services, while supporting safe road use. The branch serves more than 3.35 million customers across Queensland by provisioning several TMR products and services, including licencing, registration, road safety, vehicle inspections and driving testing.
What you will do:
- Lead a customer-focused team to provide a first point of contact for CSB HR and L&D queries, administration, reporting and recordkeeping.
- Consult with and provide advice to management and staff on human resource policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
- Research and apply best human resource management practices and principles to organisational issues and strategies.
- Lead ongoing HR and L&D service delivery improvements including implementation of technology solutions, standardisation and contemporary policies, procedures, programs and initiatives.
- Prepare a range of complex HR documents including reports, briefing notes, options papers, consultation and change material, and other correspondence in accordance with departmental standards and to set timeframes.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive workplace culture and professional growth of your colleagues.
Who we are looking for an individual with:
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, awards, policies and practices, in relation to contemporary human resource practice, particularly within the Queensland Public Sector.
- Ability to apply advanced negotiation and problem-solving skills while maintaining positive relationships.
- Shows resilience and can navigate ambiguity to deliver outcomes in a complex and changing environment.
- Demonstrated supervision and leadership experience in delivering operational human resources business partnering services.
