- Provide advice and direction to Management on the Centre's food safety program
- Maintain the efficient and coordinated operations of the centre's food services
- Implement and ensure daily quality assurance programs are conducted
- Promote and support standards for food safety and quality
- Implement dietary standards of the Centre's Menu in accordance with Queensland Dietary Guidelines
- Oversee the maintenance of all kitchens and where applicable, other industry equipment, to ensure that it is maintained in maximum operating order
- Contribute and monitor centre budget allocation for food services
- Provide advice to the Centre's Management and Custodial/Financial Directorate on all matters pertaining to the food services functions
- Coordinate and assist in the training and reporting of all vocation (VET) training for Hospitality
- Monitor and evaluate WH&S processes within the Food Services area
- Coordinate the procurement, receipt, issue, custody and maintenance of all food supplies
