Brisbane School of Distance Education are seeking applications for an Enrolments Officer to join their school community on a temporary full-time basis, for a period of 5 months, unless otherwise determined.
Within this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Supervise the daily operations of the school’s enrolment unit to provide a full enrolment service to the school.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of enrolment policies, electronic systems and databases that support the enrolment process.

About the Role
The Brisbane School of Distance Education provides lessons in an on-line environment to over 3000 students. This enrolments officer role is one of 6 in the enrolments team who manage the enrolment process and associated paperwork for the over 4000 enrolments processed each year. The Enrolments officer provides support to the Senior enrolments officer (A04) and Enrolments Team Leader (A05) by providing reports and other data as required. The position will need to apply enrolment policy information unique to schools of distance education -where there are 7 different categories of enrolment. The applicant should be knowledgeable with One School and knowledge of Education Qld policy and DOE standards are critical. The role directly supports the Team Leader-enrolments and provides advice to parents, caregivers and other schools who enrol their students with BrisbaneSDE.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee day to day operations of enrolments and provide enrolment management policy advice.
- Maintain student administration systems for the purposes of reviewing student enrolment data, and producing and distributing statistical data.
- Assist the Business Manager in undertaking statistical analysis and advisory activities to ensure business continuity in the event of student absences.
- Consult with the Business Manager on a regular basis in relation to enrolment data, policies and enquiries.
- Manage information on enrolment on the website.
