The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Speech Pathologist to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Manage a designated caseload
- Undertake routine assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and case management tasks
- Utilise clinical knowledge, clinical skill, judgement and problem solving ability
- Provide clinical education regarding routine and non-routine speech pathology related topics
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Speech Pathology
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary Full time, temporary part time and casual (hrs negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $79 051 - $116 189 per annum, $3 030 - $4 453.50 per fortnight, $39.86 – $58.59 per hour

The Gold Coast Health Speech Pathology Service is active in translating current evidence into new clinical service delivery models of care for adults and children with communication, swallowing and feeding problems. These include high intensity models of care for adults with aphasia, voice and fluency disorders based on neuroplasticity principles, and evaluating expanded scope of practice.
