Temporary Part-Time position available, 18 hrs p.f. for 6 to 12 months 

We are looking for an exceptional consultant in Ophthalmology - Glaucoma to join our team within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS). 

SCHHS Salary includes:

  • Base salary comprising of between $201.04 - $238.93 p.h.
  • VMO Fuel Allowance up to $2,350 p.a.
  • Professional Development Allowance up to $5,000 p.a.
  • Tier 2 payment based on on-call requirements

A mandatory requirement of being employed as a Visiting Specialist with Queensland Health is that you incur ongoing private practice costs.

The Visiting Specialist / Visiting Senior Specialist (Ophthalmology) provides leadership in clinical services of Ophthalmology that is innovative, encourages participation in treatment and care aimed at achieving demonstrable improvement in patient outcomes. The Visiting Specialist / Visiting Senior Specialist (Ophthalmology) reports to the Medical Director of Ophthalmology.
