About us:

Gladstone Hospital is a level 3 facility which at present has 70 inpatient beds and plans to increase more bed numbers in due course. We offer a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigations, obstetrics and maternity care, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care unit, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology, and paediatrics.

About the role:

We would welcome you to be part of our great team committed to deliver high standards of care to Gladstone and Banana region and achieve an excellent work: life balance. You will be working with the clinical team, Director and Gladstone Hospital to provide range of clinical activities including 24/7 oncall activity, in-patient care, out-patient clinics and offer support to clinical measurement team for Exercise Stress Test. The role includes providing support to Hospital in the Home (HITH) for medical patients. Your role includes aligning with the team goals and ‘Destination 2030'.

About you:

  • MBBS or equivalent to be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
    • Registration as a Specialist in General Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Authority (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians General Medicine (FRACP).
    • Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program of appropriate bodies is mandatory.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $428,444 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary rate between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27)
  • A salary rate between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
