About your opportunity:
In this position you will:
- Provide support and supervision to a multi-disciplinary team to ensure clinical services to inpatients and outpatients are evidence based and underpinned by Child-Aware principles and trauma-informed practice, including risk assessment work and therapeutic interventions delivered by the unit.
- Lead, develop, implement and evaluate child protection education and training for Qld Health staff and other government and non-government services across CHHHS and other HS, where applicable.
- Utilise high level negotiation, conflict management and effective communication skills to advocate with relevant stakeholders, including the Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Team (SCAN), Qld Police Service, Child Safety Services, Qld Education and Indigenous Health Services on matters of specialist health, child development and child protection matters, to ensure high level relationships that enhance and promote child safety and wellbeing.
