A fabulous opportunity exists to join the Cabinet, Legislation and Liaison Office at the Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism. We are looking for somebody who thrives on working in fast paced environments, is organized and efficient and enjoys connecting with people from across government.
You will be part of a team that provides expert advice, coordination and support services with respect to Cabinet, Parliamentary and Ministerial liaison, Executive Council specialist executive support services on behalf of the department.

Specific role requirements:
* Sound knowledge of the Cabinet and parliament is desirable
* There will be operational requirements to work outside usual work hours at times due to the nature of the work
Your contribution and key responsibilities:
* Support the CLLO to provide Cabinet, Legislation and Liaison services to the Minister, Director-General, Ministerial advisors and senior departmental officers.
* Provide high level advice on the development of Cabinet, Parliamentary and Executive Council documents.
* Assist in the analysis and coordination of Cabinet, Legislative, Parliamentary and Executive Council information and business.
* Coordinate the provision of departmental advice to the Director-General and Minister.
* Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a wide range of people including the Minister, Director-General, Ministerial advisors, Senior departmental officers and officers from across government.
* Create and maintain internal and external networks to facilitate the exchange of information and mutual benefit.
* Work with the CLLO to maintain efficient and comprehensive records management systems and procedures.
* Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Cabinet and Parliamentary protocols including knowledge of the Queensland Cabinet Handbook, legislative processes and whole-of-Government and departmental policies to ensure compliance.
