An exciting opportunity exists for an Administration Officer who provides a high level of confidential administrative support for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS). This position is a prime point of contact for internal communication daily and externally with various departments and agencies.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

The Virtual Acute Care Service (VACS) situated at Caloundra Health Service, provides virtual care and surveillance via phone or telehealth. VACS is a multidisciplinary medical, nursing, and administrative team operating a 7-day service between 0800-1630. VACS' aim is to be a safety net between acute and primary care, supporting patients who might otherwise represent to Emergency Departments (ED's) or deteriorate in the community.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Exercise judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
- Effectively communicate with customers and demonstrate understanding, empathy, patience, and a positive service focus.
- Provide advice and support in the admission and discharge planning process for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients presenting to the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
Remuneration value up to $97,656 p.a., comprising salary between $76,963- $85,591p.a., or salary rates: $38.81- $43.16 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO3). (Full time and/or part time position available). Applications will remain current for 12 months.
