About your opportunity:
To maximise quality patient focussed care and service delivery by supporting the allied health professionals with the delivery of appropriate therapeutic group and individual activities for inpatients and outpatients of the Cairns Hospital and by undertaking supportive nonclinical duties.
About your role:
- Utilisation of a variety of computer programs and online systems in order to facilitate both clinical and non-clinical duties.
- Implement basic therapy programs and activities (individual and group) including functional mobility and functional transfer training, upper limb therapy, self-care retraining, domestic and community activity practice and setting up assistive equipment as directed by the treating Allied Health Professional.
- Undertake non-clinical tasks including retrieval, cleaning, and maintaining of equipment loaned to patients and other specialised equipment as well as performing routine clerical and administrative duties.
- Facilitate and monitor self-development to ensure ongoing education in order to meet professional competency, and mandatory training requirements, developing and maintaining records of same as evidence for audit purposes.
