We operate 21 facilities from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.

Townsville University Hospital, the largest tertiary hospital in northern Australia, provides specialist referral services for 700,000 people living in the region.

The Executive Support Officer is responsible for providing high-level confidential and secretarial support to the Director of Medical Services, Workforce and Director Medical Services, Clinical Governance and Digital Health.

About the opportunity
Position:
Executive Support Officer
Vacancy: Permanent Full-time, 76 hours per fortnight
Location: Medical Education and Workforce Support, Townsville University Hospital

What's on offer?
Remuneration package of up to $97,656 p.a.

  • Salary range: $76,963 - $85,591 p.a. (AO3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About the role

  • Responsible for providing and developing efficient, effective, ethical and confidential administrative /secretarial support services as required for the Director of Medical Services Workforce and Director Medical Services, Clinical Governance and Digital Health.
  • Organize, prioritise and coordinate the workloads across the two DMS portfolios and manage own time effectively, whilst remaining flexible to respond to changing needs.
  • Coordinate meetings (including video and teleconferencing), prepare and distribute agendas, meeting papers and accurate minute taking, attend to follow up actions including action tracking reminders and booking of meeting rooms, facilities and equipment.
  • Diary management and coordination of appointments and ability to facilitate and manage urgent and non-urgent meetings.

Role requirements
This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.

Highly desirable
A minimum of at least two years' experience as an Executive Support Officer or Personal Assistant
