The role:
Reporting to the Director, Strategic Workforce and Capability Support and the Project Manager, the Principal Technical Specialist works to support projects within Digital Capital Program, for statewide clinical and diagnostic applications.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for:
- Promoting and utilising best practice standards, methods and tools
- Ensuring consistency with agreed enterprise and solution architectures
- Conducting installation and configuration of software, hardware and/or equipment
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of relevant technical specialties
- Supporting the development, publication, implementation and compliance of project deliverables
- Conducting complex IM/ICT change management procedures utilising best practice frameworks
- Actively collaborating within a team of specialist technical resources to drive best outcomes in the delivery of complex technical solutions

To be successful in this role you will need a high level of understanding of Enterprise Solutions Domains, as well as a demonstrated ability in designing, configuring and documenting enterprise systems within best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks. Your experience should include expertise in:
- Internet gateways and firewall services
- External Access solutions
- Enterprise Network, both Wide and Local Area
- Wireless technologies
- Load balancing; Authentication, Access, and Authorisation technologies; DNS and DHCP
