In this role you will be required to high level clinical pharmacy clinical services within the Maternity ward as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/ customers of Queensland Health whilst providing leadership and mentorship to less experienced pharmacists, pharmacy interns and clinical assistants within the Pharmacy Department.

About your opportunity:
This position provides leadership and high level pharmacy services, with expertise in the Maternity ward to patients who present to Cairns Hospital, to a complex and varied workload, with a high degree of independence and initiative, to develop services and promote and maintain best practice care to patients.
About your role:
- Provide general clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding clinical pharmacy services delivery.
- Work cooperatively and effectively within a team and with patients / clients.
- Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures that support the continuum of care engaging cross-discipline referencing where relevant.
- Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of clinical pharmacy services.
