Senior Child Safety Support Officer
Child and Family; Region - South West; Service Delivery - Child and Family; Ripley
In this role you will work within a multidisciplinary team and provide high quality, culturally appropriate, child protection services to children, families and carers serviced by the Child Safety Service Centre. You will also support colleagues and management in the delivery of statutory child protection services within a strengths-based, safety oriented framework for practice.

Southern Downs & Granite Belt CSSC services the greater Southern Downs areas and form part of the Darling Downs District. We provide ongoing intervention to children, from Intervention with Parental Agreement, through to Long Term Guardianship Orders. Children subject to intervention in Stanthorpe, Warwick and surrounds are case managed by our Child Safety Officers. We are committed to supporting a positive work life balance and have spent time developing a fair and equitable approach to travel in these areas, which is shared across the work group. Strong skills in working with complex family situations, navigating stakeholder groups, strong written and verbal assessment skills, and ability to manage your workflow are strongly desirable in our workgroup.
Child Protection in Queensland is undergoing a significant reform to ensure that children and young people are cared for, protected and sage. The CSSC is currently based in Ripley, with the future location to be based in Ipswich.
