Administration Officer - Ironside State School

Ironside State School is situated in the beautiful suburb of St Lucia, located close to the Brisbane CBD and University of Queensland. The school is a community of 890 students with diverse cultural backgrounds, and approximately 100 staff.
Ironside State School are
seeking a dedicated temporary full time, Administration Officer, until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.
The role of the Administrative Officer is to provide efficient and effective administrative tasks to support the school office in coordination of school
communications, website management, community relations, student enrolments, finance, facilities coordination, and records keeping. The role also supports the day to day operation of the school office and reports to the Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.

About Ironside State School
Our school has a rich history and tradition. It was opened on 10 October 1870. The first Principal was Mr William Arthy and the first student was Miss Ellen Lane. The school has always enjoyed a reputation for academic excellence and our students continue to excel academically, as evidenced by our results in National competitions and numeracy and literacy tests.
We are a highly multicultural school and are proud to have students representing over 50 nationalities. Approximately one third of our students were born outside Australia. At Ironside our children grow up surrounded by a range of cultures, religious beliefs and languages. About the Role
Responsibilities include but are not limited to-
- Develop and manage the school's publicity materials and digital presence (newsletter, website, school calendar) by sourcing digital content and encouraging increased engagement of the school's website and social media channels (Facebook page).
- Prepare communication materials, monitor the standard of the school's written communications, including school forms and documents, brochures, guides, handbooks and newsletters.
- Oversee day to day operations of enrolments and provide enrolment management policy advice.
- Maintain student administration systems for the purposes of reviewing student enrolment data, and management of student absences.
- Consult with the Business Manager on a regular basis in relation to enrolment data, policies and enquiries.
- Manage information on enrolment on the website.
- Ensure that student files and other official records are kept up to date.
- Coordinate enrolment interviews for the Principal and Deputy Principal, prepare enrolment documentation, and coordinate and assist with enrolment activities for new students.
- Facility hires coordination and financial management.
- QParents Management.
