The Director, Information Management role within Corporate Services is responsible for creating, transforming, and maintaining an Information Management environment that helps the Department do more with its information assets, with a focus on uplifting capacity and capability regarding Information Security, Data Management, Analytics and Records Management. What you will be doing:
• Lead a multi-disciplinary Information Management team with a department wide focus on uplifting capacity and capability
regarding Information Security, Data Management and Analytics and Records Management.
• Lead the identification, prioritisation, and implementation of targeted investment in technology and process improvement
initiatives, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the current Information Management system.
• Implementing governance and reporting structures to provide the department's executive with greater visibility of the department's Information Management performance.
• Providing technical expertise and advice to senior leaders and business areas on the facilitation and design of new policies,
performing gap analysis and monitoring the department's Information management maturity.
• Developing and implementing the delivery of fit for purpose Information Management training and awareness to build the department's capability in contemporary Information Management.
• Ensure that an effective Information Security Management System (ISMS) governance framework is in place to support the
department's ISMS operational implementation, aimed at protecting the CIA of the department's information assets, and champion these at a senior leadership level.

The skills you will need include being able to:
• Lead and develop high performing teams.
• Develop and implement whole of government or whole of department policy development and frameworks, including the ability to develop, assess and implement plans, policy, procedures, controls and standards to meet business and compliance requirements.
• Apply knowledge of concepts, technologies and strategies that can be applied to records management within a large, complex and diverse organisation, covering people, processes and technology in a risk-based context.
• Develop written and oral communication skills, specifically in working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholder to achieve outcomes and communicating complex concepts to senior leadership.
