Applications are invited from enthusiastic and dedicated teachers specialising in Agricultural Science and/or Science for Years 7–10 to join a welcoming and supportive team. The successful applicant must have the skills and experience to teach Science, with a qualification in this field preferred but not essential, a genuine passion for teaching in this area will also be considered. The ability to teach Agricultural Science is required, and while a TAE (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) is not mandatory, it would be advantageous for delivering Agriculture Certificate courses. Dakabin State High School has created a culture of high performing teachers by investing in them through a timetable which has created space for a 70 minute paid Professional Learning Team time whilst also engaging students in Academic Intervention in English, Mathematics and Science.  Teachers are also able to engage in Curriculum Teaching and Learning time each morning as another initiative of Dakabin State High School investing in their staff.  The school also has a dedicated Deputy Principal of HR to offer support to teachers regarding their work/life balance and issues, as well as be able to support staff in a coaching capacity.  As of 2025 the school has also invested in a Deputy Principal of Student Engagement to lead our Restorative, Inclusive, Student Engagement (RISE) Team.
