In the role of Human Resource Officer, you will assist the Human Resource (HR) team to maintain an effective advisory and support service to the senior management team and employees of Customer Services Branch. You will undertake a variety of HR operational and procedural activities in accordance with policy and legislative framework.
What you will do:
• Provide advice and support to management and employees across the full range of HR management functions, including supporting recruitment and selection panels and assisting paperwork for vacancies and appointments.
• Research and analyse information for the development and implementation of policies and strategies on HR management projects and issues.
• Monitor and maintain establishment data, HR documentation and employee records including the processing of paperwork in a timely manner and liaison with Queensland Shared Services, Corporate HR, and Customer Services Branch stakeholders.
• Use SAP to collate, analyse and manage HR data, providing information to managers, supervisors, and HR teams.
• Prepare written correspondence on a range of HR related issues.
• Proactively identify HR management issues impacting in the workplace, undertake research, analysis and provide feedback and options targeted at improving work practices.
Who we are looking for:
• Previous knowledge of SAP is desirable, though not a mandatory requirement.
• Previous experience in the Human Resources field is desirable.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with particular emphasis on providing clear, effective advice, liaising with a wide range of stakeholders and
preparing high quality and timely correspondence.
• Demonstrated capability in the identification of issues, and proficiency in gathering, analysing, and interpreting data to provide effective solutions and inform HR decisions.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive HR matters and employee information.
