Permanent Full-time position 80 hrs p.f.
Remuneration $447,016 p.a.

We are looking for an exceptional Clinical Services Director (consultant) to lead the Surgery and Critical Care Directorate and provide leadership to ensure effective operational service delivery. This position also supports clinical staff through clinical governance, education and research structures that align with Hospital and Health Service Clinical Governance systems and the other service lines.

SCHHS Salary includes:

  • Base salary comprising of between
    • $210,332 - $266,677 p.a.
  • Motor vehicle allowance
    • L18 - L24 $21,000 p.a.
    • L25 - L27 $25,500 p.a.
  • Clinical Managers Allowance $33,660 p.a.
  • Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
  • Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a.

The role of the Clinical Services Director, Surgery and Critical Care (Staff Specialist / Consultant) is to provide high-quality clinical and non-clinical leadership and direction to benefit patients accessing services within SCHHS. With a growing focus on sustainable models of care, the role requires the ability to influence beyond the traditional boundaries of a single service/organisation and collaborate with multi-professional stakeholder groups. In addition to your clinical and professional expertise, strong skills in people management, leadership and sustainable financial decision accountability are essential.

Clinical Services Directors are responsible for developing, leading, implementing and reporting on Operational Plans that include measurable health outcomes, achieved through contemporary practice and evidence-based care that align with SCHHS' Strategic Plan.
