As the Team Lead Banking you will Lead and coordinate Department of Health's banking functions including use of bank accounts, corporate cards and other banking products as determined.
What you'll do
You will:
- Ensure high priority grant payments for Hospital and Health Services are processed in a timely manner in accordance with payments authorisations.
- Manage bank reconciliation processes, investigate and provide guidance and advice to senior management and staff on financial management processes to ensure compliance with departmental and Whole of Government policies.
- Ensure appropriate security protocols are adhered to in the management of payments to internal and external clients using the electronic banking platform.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated knowledge of banking practices, accounting standards, legislation, contemporary financial management practices and policies, with experience in providing advice to management and other stakeholders in the development of policies, procedures and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare financial management reports, research, review and analyse information to assist decision-making, including the ability to utilise relevant financial accounting systems such as databases and Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven effective consultative skills, including written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills appropriate to an environment of change and evolution.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a range of activities and projects with conflicting timeframes
