The Engineering and Technology (E&T) branch is seeking an experienced Senior Technician (Materials) to play a key role in delivering high-quality materials testing for Transport and Main Roads (TMR) projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital infrastructure across Queensland while supporting the department's multi-site NATA accreditation.
A key part of this position involves supporting the management, implementation, and development of equipment management systems that uphold TMR's multi-site NATA accreditation. You will undertake a range of specialist activities, including laboratory material testing, in-house equipment calibration, field testing, and surveillance. In addition, you will provide technical advice on testing procedures, specifications, and equipment management to both internal stakeholders and industry partners.
You will play an important role in supporting the implementation of quality systems and standards across both equipment and materials testing functions. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across multiple laboratories, influence best practices, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of testing and equipment management within TMR.

Mandatory Requirements:
• Possession of a “C” Class driver's licence.
• Possession of a Diploma of Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution or registered training organisation.
