About the opportunity:

Position: Speech Pathologist - Senior

Vacancy: Permanent Full-time or Part-time, hours negotiable

Location: Speech Pathology Department / Allied Health Services Division / Townsville University Hospital

The speech pathology department is seeking an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to deliver high level clinical services and leadership.

• Salary range: $4912.70 to $5286.40 p.f. or $64.64 to $69.55 p.h. (HP4)
• 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

• The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Speech Therapy/Pathology providing eligibility for practicing membership to Speech Pathology Australia.
• Certified Practicing Speech Pathology Status with Speech Pathology Australia is desirable.
• Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
• Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
• This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
• Probation period may apply.
• Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
