Role Details
The position of Senior Human Resource Consultant will:
- Understand Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service objectives and client objectives and implement human resource initiatives that assist with meeting these objectives at a local level.
- Be a visible human resource business consultant across relevant divisions to support the workforce on various HR related issues, needs and business requirements.
- Provide advice on performance related matters including employee relations issues to people leaders. In addition, manage complex employment matters including the provision of advice and expertise with the support of the Manager, Human Resources and Employee Relations.
- Support the People and Governance team to facilitate any broader organisational programs that impact on the local business and any people management issues.
- Implement relevant people and culture programs, practices, policies and procedures in partnership with the People and Governance team and for business clients.
- Identify and provide subject matter expertise on industrial relations and employee relations risks, including engaging with unions and participating in consultative forums.
- Support the business areas, where relevant, in organisational design and business case for change processes.
- Provide high quality written communication to management, clients and stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise in relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, awards, policies and practices, in relation to contemporary human resource practice, particularly within the Queensland Public Sector, and ensure that practices within CHQ HHS are consistent.
- Support the Manager, Human Resources and Employee Relations in the governance and management of relevant human resource frameworks, policies and procedures.
- Work with business areas to influence a positive culture within CHQ HHS which encourages and recognises high performance, builds leadership capabilities and supports staff to maximise their health and wellbeing.
