About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to provide financial leadership for the Sustainable Assets & Infrastructure (SA&I) portfolio and be accountable for the achievement of the key strategies in improving service performance, financial performance, financial reporting, resource management / allocations and management controls.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, ensuring a proactive, customer focussed, efficient, and cost-effective service that supports Metro North Health's (MNH) strategic and operational plans. Actively participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes, aligning financial and business management strategies with MNH's priorities.
  • Oversee financial performance across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with Metro North's service agreement with the Department of Health, Lead the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of operational and capital budgets, including workforce, activity-based funding and financial forecasting.
  • Provide monthly performance analysis and insights on expenditure, FTE, and other key performance indicators. Develop evidence-based recommendations and coordinate remediation strategies where required. Support the Health Service in preparing executive and board reports with portfolio specific commentary and analysis.
