This is your opportunity to join a multidisciplinary project team in the Office of the Coordinator-General; the go-to agency for delivering infrastructure solutions. As a Principal Project Officer in the Infrastructure and Projects (Water) team you will contribute to strategic decision making and work collaboratively to deliver important initiatives that benefit Queensland’s communities. You will help inform a range of policy, planning, social, environmental and economic matters to progress a diverse range of multifaceted projects and programs that deliver economic, social and environmental benefits to regional Queensland.

• Complete technical research and evaluation to advise on and deliver environmental and social impact assessments, under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971 and Strong and Sustainable Resource Communities Act 2017.
• Perform the lead technical role in teams, providing advice to public and private sector on the statutory processes, communicating in non-technical language and guiding team members.
• Develop solutions and focused advice to mitigate risk and overcome challenges for a wide range of frequently complex and multifaceted matters to help advance projects/initiatives. 
• Lead and support complex negotiations with stakeholders to achieve the government's strategic goals by balancing environmental, economic, social and infrastructure considerations.
• Build sustained relationships with key State and Local government stakeholders to support facilitation, assessment and delivery of projects.
• Prepare briefings, reports and correspondence and contribute to policy development and government submissions.
• Contribute and nurture the positive and inclusive culture of the Infrastructure and Projects (Water) team, and the Office of the Coordinator-General more broadly.
