An exciting opportunity exists for a Sonographer-Advanced to deliver specialised Ultrasound services and provide professional leadership within the Ultrasound Service across the Sunshine Coast Health (SCH).

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Work collaboratively and effectively in a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality Ultrasound services to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health in accordance with organisational goals. You will provide high quality and effective training for medical imaging colleagues in ultrasound techniques and procedures.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver specialised Ultrasound services; using an advanced level of knowledge, expertise and skills to perform a wide range of Ultrasound examinations (inc. Abdominal, Pelvic, Obstetric, Vascular and small parts) without any need for direct clinical supervision.
  • Apply professional judgement to either problems of significant scope within both a complex and critical service; as well as a complex caseload across multiple areas of Ultrasound services.
  • Provide professional leadership in the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care, along with accurate and effective patient outcomes.

Remuneration value up to $69,046 p.a., comprising salary rates $73.12- $76.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (Permanent part time position, 30.4 hrs p.f.).
