The Senior Human Resource (HR) Consultant, HR Capability is responsible for assisting with the development, coordination and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance HR capability across the QAS.
The core focus of the role is to support and assist in building the QAS’s capability for providing and executing best practice people management, workforce engagement and the achievement of quality organisational outcomes.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated experience providing expert advice on a wide range of HR issues and practices, including employee relations, workforce planning, HR systems, employment conditions, recruitment and selection, and learning and development.
- Demonstrated experience applying contemporary knowledge of one or more areas of organisational development, including change management, culture transformation, or capability development.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and to liaise, advise and negotiate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders (including senior executives and service providers), to achieve expected organisational outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience working as a key member of a collaborative project team within a human resources context, to deliver organisation-wide solutions.
- Proven well developed analytical and problem-solving skills in order to provide quality advice in relation to complex workforce issues and HR business improvement projects and initiatives.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
- Whilst not mandatory, possession of tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in human resources, business management, information management, psychology or organisational development will be highly regarded.
