The purpose of the Principal Advisor (Property Safety and Compliance) role is to provide strategic and operational advice to all staff across Property to ensure we undertake our work safely while complying with relevant legislative requirements.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Manage all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) activities in the business including the monitoring of hazards, coordinating risk registers, undertaking risk assessments, updating procedures, and managing the WHS system Integrum.
• Manage nine fleet vehicles, including lease management, driver bookings, driver behavior monitoring, and vehicle servicing.
• Ensure the Property section is compliant with legislative requirements around the management of residential and commercial properties (pools, asbestos and fire safety and so on) and coordinate the controlled self-assessment program to ensure compliance with business processes in line with legislation and minimisation of risk across the business.
• Represent Property on relevant WHS groups and committees across TMR and contribute to reviews of TMR policies and procedures. Be the point of contact for Carseldine site maintenance, fleet and WHS issues.
• Ensure staff are inducted to the business and have continuous support and training in WHS, vehicle use, compliance, and relevant procurement activities.
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Significant experience in engaging staff and leadership in all Workplace Health and Safety matters.
• Ability to manage internal and external relationships, communicating in a way that promotes trust, respect and integrity while understanding different and competing views.
• Delivers by working across boundaries by seeing and acting on opportunities for synergy, integration, and improvement across the organisation.
• Qualifications, or equivalent knowledge and experience, in Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline.
• Current holder of a C Class drivers' licence.
