As Principal Audit Consultant, you will join the best analytical minds to provide authoritative and confident advice to senior management on a comprehensive program of audits over governance, corporate management, risk management and control processes across all relevant audit categories (financial, compliance, operational and performance). You will also perform reviews, investigations and data analytics.

About the role

Join a small, supportive Internal Audit team that values approachability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The Internal Audit Unit provides independent, objective assurance and consulting activities to add value and improve the operations of the Department. The audit team works with the Internal Audit co-source partner to deliver the annual and strategic internal audit plans and other advisory engagements.

This role contributes to the development and delivery of strategic and annual audit plans for the Department, particularly relating to financial, legislative compliance and operational effectiveness audits.

This role assists in management of audit delivery by the Internal Audit Team (including contractors), as detailed in the Annual Internal Audit Plan, to effectively address governance, corporate management, risk management and control processes across all relevant audit categories (financial, compliance, operational and performance), providing guidance where required.
