We are currently seeking a passionate Community Hub Coordinator to build partnerships and support families with young children connect to their community (working Wednesdays & Thursdays), 25 hours per fortnight (0.34FTE).

About the School

Our school lies in Logan City with Brisbane to the north and the Gold Coast to the south. Woodridge began as a sparsely populated rural area and has evolved to a large centre within Logan City and is an area typified by one of the fastest growing, culturally diverse populations in Australia. 

Woodridge North State School is a Band 9 school which opened in 1969 and provides for children from Prep to Year 6. It proudly hosts a Community Hub and a C&K kindergarten onsite.

About the Role

The Community Hubs program is a national initiative that links families with young children to services, support, learning opportunities and the wider community. More information can be found HERE

A Community Hub Coordinator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support / encourage parents to participate in hub, school and community activities by linking them to appropriate information, programs and services
  • Organise activities, programs or events in response to family needs and interests consistent with the objectives of the National Community Hub Program
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with Community Hub Leaders, community members, services, funding agencies and early years' networks operating at the local level to support the needs of families
  • Build the capacity of parents / caregivers and families to participate in the development and life of the Community Hub and the general community
  • Develop and implement a Hub work plan in line with school priorities, contractual obligations and program outcomes; and associated administration and periodical reporting tasks, as required
