About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide high quality, cost efficient and effective clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients/clients of the Metro North Hospital and Health Service directly or indirectly. Provision of clinical palliative care services, to inpatients, outpatients and in consultative services, management, leadership, and co-ordination of the delivery of the palliative care service within Redcliffe Hospital.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide specialist clinical services to patients by rotational work with responsibility for Palliative Care patients across the in-patient, hospital consultation service and out-patients.
  • Participate in Palliative Care Unit clinical audits and clinical meetings.
  • Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching of students of the University of Queensland.
  • Participate in the roster for Staff Specialists to always ensure senior cover, either directly within the department or remote call.
