Tell me more... We're looking for passionate Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers who want to make a valuable contribution to the health and wellbeing to communities across the Torres and Cape region.
What you'll do
- Work closely with clients, families, and community to deliver holistic care
- Help yarn through health concerns, build trust, and support self-determination
- Assist clinical teams with culturally safe practices
- Be a health advocate, educator, and support for mob
- Travel to different communities, working where you're most needed

As an Indigenous Health Worker, your advocacy for local Torres and Cape patients is vital in ensuring culturally sensitive and effective health care.

What we're looking for
- Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Holds current registration as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner as recognised by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner Board of Australia (ATSIHPBA) and,
- Successfully completed a Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health or equivalent.
- A good listener, strong communicator, and respectful yarning style
- Passionate about helping mob live strong, healthy lives
- Community-minded with cultural knowledge and heart

- Base salary comprising between $98,555.00 - $116,189.00 per annum – you may be eligible for additional benefits – refer to Workplace benefits | Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service
