We are seeking applications for a Kitchen Hand to join our school community on a temporary part-time basis, at 40 hours and 0.53 FTE per fortnight, for a period of 22 weeks, unless otherwise determined.

About Woodcrest State College
Woodcrest State College is a Prep to Year 12 College with an established reputation for quality education in the Springfield community. Conveniently located across the road from the Springfield Train Station, our specialised Primary and Secondary Schools are resource rich settings with the latest technologies, gymnasiums, laboratories, playing fields, performing and practical arts programs. We also have an Academic Enrichment Program available from Year 7, Sports Excellence in AFL, Volleyball and Basketball and an on site Kindergarten and Trade Training Centre.
About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Understand the use of cleaning chemicals and the use of appropriate recommended products for specified cleaning duties.
- Clean all kitchen/canteen areas ensuring effective surface cleaning using recommended products in the correct strength.
- Provide a clean, hygienic environment for the preparation and delivery of meals.
- Collect accumulated food waste and dispose of it appropriately according to the operational polices, work instructions and procedures of the facility.
