Expressions of interest are now invited for a Schools Officer at Eatons Hill State School. The position will be offered on a temporary full-time basis. until 19 September 2025, unless otherwise determined.

The Schools Officer is responsible for the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the school's environment. This role involves independent work, overseeing grounds and facility maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, supporting school events, and maintaining accurate records. The role is a critical part in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

About the Role

This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work independently to manage daily tasks and respond to facility needs.
  • Oversee maintenance of school grounds, including mowing, gardening, and general landscaping.
  • Carry out general facility and building maintenance, including minor repairs.
  • Perform regular cleaning tasks in and around school premises as required.
  • Support the preparation and setup of school events, including assembling sports and hall equipment, moving furniture, and relocating items.
  • Maintain school tools, equipment, and machinery; conduct regular inspections and servicing.
  • Undertake minor maintenance of faculty areas and infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate Equipment Maintenance Records (EMRs).
