In the role of Principal Technical Specialist, you will provide leadership and hands on technical skills and expertise to lead the support of the Digital Licence App and Digital Identity service. You will oversee the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and management of the component solutions that collectively deliver the Digital Licence App and Digital Identity.
Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Leading activities in support, proactively monitoring, analysing, and reporting on the performance and availability of the Digital Licence solution components to ensure they meet agreed service levels.Supported Technlogies include Splunk, Amazon Web Services and Auth0.
- Leading and collaborating with external vendors responsible for implementing security monitoring to ensure effective detection and response to vulnerabilities and potential threats, in alignment with departmental security standards and policies.
- Coordinate with business units and external vendors to identify, analyse, and record, document and manage complex changes/incidents/problems in accordance with the Departmental standards and procedures.
- Lead our change and release management processes, together with the development teams, to ensure they are managed in a timely and efficient manner. Technology stack include - MuleSoft, React.js and AWS.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across operational processes, tooling, and application/platform performance.
To be considered suitable for the role you will have:
- Experience in managing CI/CD pipelines to support the efficient, reliable, and secure delivery of applications across identity platforms (eg. Auth0), integration layers (eg. MuleSoft), AWS, and microservices-based cloud environments.
- Experience in leading and collaborating with team members to assist driving continuous improvement of the projects DevSecOps capabilities
- Abilities in leading (while providing hands-on experience) in operational management (first level support, maintenance, and diagnostic analysis) of the following Digital Licence solution components
- Proactively managing vendor relationships and contracts with managed service providers.
- Experience in using log aggregation and monitoring platforms.
- Experience administering collaboration and issue tracking platforms (eg. ServiceNow, Jira).
