Community Corrections staff aim to protect the community and reduce re-offending by supervising offenders in the community in which they live and encourage offenders to adopt more pro-social attitudes and behaviors.

Senior Case Managers (SCM) ensures a high level of community safety through the case management of supervised individuals within the community in accordance with their assessed risk and need and maintains high standards of assessment practices that facilitate effective supervision and improve reintegration and rehabilitation of high-risk sexual and violent offenders.

There are two permanent Senior Case Manager vacancies available within Brisbane Region and we are seeking motivated and skilled practitioners to join the teams at Brisbane Central District Office and the Queensland Drug and Alcohol Court (QDAC).

Brisbane Region Community Corrections is comprised of 6 District Offices - Brisbane Central, Brisbane North, Brisbane South, Mt Gravatt, Redlands and Wynnum - and is responsible for the oversight and management of all supervised individuals subject to orders from the Court and the Parole Board.

Brisbane Region also services two specialised Courts located at the Brisbane Magistrates Court including the Queensland Drug and Alcohol Court (QDAC) and the Brisbane Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Court. Senior Case Managers in these roles provide specialised case management to the unique cohorts of individuals managed by these Courts which includes conducting assessments and interviews and regularly attending Court to provide advice to the judiciary regarding the progress of individuals subject to supervision.

Brisbane Region offers a unique opportunity for all staff to work at various offices across the Region. This recruitment will seek to fill the two current permanent vacancies available at Brisbane Central District Office and QDAC. A suitability pool will be created and all applicants are advised that this pool can be used to fill future vacancies in all offices and specialised Courts across the Region in the next 12 months.
