Intelligence Analyst


South Coast Region; Community Corrections; Community Corrections & Specialist Operations; Southport

Community Corrections is responsible for supervising adult offenders in the community. Community Corrections is divided into seven regions each with a number of district offices and reporting centres. Community Corrections staff aim to protect the community and reduce re-offending by supervising offenders in the community in which they live and encourage offenders to adopt more pro-social attitudes and behaviours.

The Intelligence Analyst assists in the development, coordination and management of the region’s intelligence collection plan, analysing all security related information for offenders on community supervision orders in order to provide timely intelligence.

The essential requirements for this role are:

• Knowledge and understanding of the intelligence discipline on matters which affect the supervision of offenders on community-based orders
• Experience in a criminal justice environment or similar human services/regulatory agency
• Experience working with sensitive information will be highly regarded
• Superior capability in the use of information management systems will be highly regarded
• Ability to investigate matters and conduct research and knowledge of the principles of crime scene management
• Knowledge of intelligence processes and products
• Preparation of complex reports and submissions
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Good interviewing techniques

Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements

• Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications for this position, nationally recognised training or tertiary qualifications in a relevant field would be highly
desirable.
• The incumbent may be required to travel on official business; therefore, the possession of a valid C class licence is required.

Applicant will be required to work across multiple locations within South Coast Region including Beenleigh, Burleigh Heads, Logan City and Southport.
