The Statewide Manager, Victims Register provides leadership, advice and direction relating to the management of eligible persons. It undertakes delegated decision making relating to eligible persons and the prisoners or offenders to which they are registered in accordance with the Corrective Services Act 2006.
This includes aligning operations to better practice, legislative requirements, and providing strategic direction and policy advice to the Senior Executive and stakeholders. This role oversees the process of determining applicant eligibility, ensures interested applicants are registered, and provided with ‘prisoner information’ in accordance with legislative requirements. This role ensures eligible persons are provided with the opportunity to make parole submissions and receive information in a timely fashion to assist with safety planning where applicable.

The essential requirements for this role are:
- Strong senior leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, mentor and encourage others to adhere to the sentence management guidelines and manual, procedural requirements and legislative provisions
- Experience in managing risk and in creating mitigation strategies to ensure delegated authority is applied correctly and in an equitable manner
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and maintaining internal and external networks, providing timely advice, negotiating outcomes to the benefit of QCS, and maintaining internal and external networks
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation and identify opportunities for law reform
- Experience in a criminal justice environment or similar human services/regulatory agency
- Experience in change management and continuous improvement in organisations
- Knowledge and skills in developing and promoting the operations of the unit, specifically, service delivery improvements, and the development of innovative solutions.
