- Optimise the annual planning rhythm to ensure the timely delivery of strategic guidance that empowers each functional stream to achieve the NFAEP objectives.
- Lead the facilitation of individual business stream planning activities and support the development of strategies and plans that align closely with the overarching NFAEP strategy.
- Supervise a specialist team in accordance with departmental policies including performance and development and training of staff, timesheets, and leave applications.
- Monitor progress of operational outcomes and identify the actions and resources required to realign effort by way of branch, sequel, or parallel planning.
- Work closely with the NFAEP teams to support operational planning, progress monitoring and reporting within the operational arm of the NFAEP.
- Monitor and assess existing and emerging risks against the operational program's progress / targets and recommend action, allocation or re-allocation of resources required to support the achievement of program deliverables
- Contribute to reports to management ensuring information provided is reliable and of high quality and of a sound basis
- Research and assess adaptive strategies for eradication of new infestations and similar technical matters to support the team in undertaking effective risk analyses and planning activities.

Mandatory qualifications
While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, practical experience in facilitating planning, strategy development, workshop facilitation and the ability to use ArcGIS Desktop and Microsoft Project will be favourably regarded.
