EDQ has two temporary Assistant Development Manager roles available for 12 months within our Urban Development team. One position will be available immediately and the second position will be available from September 2025.

EDQ is looking for 2 x Assistant Development Managers to temporarily provide support the Urban Development Management team by assisting in, and at times leading specific projects, the management of all activities related to project development and delivery.
In this role you will be encouraged to not only work with other members of your team but also form working relationships with other business units within EDQ, along with other external stakeholders, state agencies, local governments, consultants and community stakeholders.
As an Assistant Development Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Leading components or specific stages of development projects, including the management of consultant teams and project delivery, to ensure the effective and timely implementation of EDQ's strategic objectives.
• Supporting the project team to achieve EDQ Urban Development's objective of leading, directing, managing and delivering complex development projects.
• Undertaking due diligence and prepare site / master planning and feasibility options.
What we are looking for:
• Minimum 2-years' experience in a similar development management role working on either mixed use, built form or master planned communities.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant development related discipline, such as Construction Management, Town Planning or Engineering.
• A strong understanding of property development processes, including project planning and design, authority applications and approvals, construction and asset management.
• An attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work with a customer first attitude.
• Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently, in line with team commitments while operating with a high degree of autonomy and effectiveness.
• Ability to Initiate internal and external collaboration by providing information and advice in a proactive and non-technical manner and supporting the broader project team to do the same.
• Ability to confidently present messages in a clear, concise, and articulate manner. Selects the most appropriate medium for conveying. information, structures written and oral communication to ensure clarity, and tailors communication to the audience.
