The role of the Finance Officer is to provide financial and operational support to the area on aspects of finance, including operational, reporting, planning and policy matters. The work requires a capacity for independent thinking and judgement to assists in the management of financial operations for the unit.
What you will be doing:
• Process daily Tenancy, Bond Loan, and Home Loan refunds.
• Prepare financial journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Monitor and clear suspense accounts, correcting any variances.
• Provide data entry and financial support for Tenancy, Bond Loan, and Home Loan clients using systems such as Reside, Bondscape, and Loanscape.
• Transfer credits, and other financial adjustments as required.
• Handle the filing, retrieval, and management of documents, reports and other records.
• Compile reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts specific to the General Ledger.
• Validate Bond Loan refund processing through the Accounts Payable Status report on a daily basis.
• Check and post all Bond Loan transactions through Bondscape.
• Reconcile daily totals for cash receipting registers against SAP reports.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly reconciliations.
• Monitor all generic mailboxes within the team.
• Perform ad hoc duties as requested by the Team Leader.
• Liaise with internal and external clients regarding financial matters.
