Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.

Are you looking for an opportunity to make an impact using your expert skills and experience in portfolio, program and project management knowledge areas? We are looking for an experienced program/project management professional to lead portfolio-level functions of performance reporting, risks, issues and inter-dependency management with a focus on promoting delivery success of programs and projects in complex digital environments.
In this role, you'll be a key member of the Digital Portfolio Management Office, overseeing risk, issues, and dependency management, as well as the portfolio pipeline and performance monitoring. Working closely with a dedicated team, you'll promote transparency, governance, and ensure the successful delivery of digital projects. Sound like you?
About the Role

Reporting directly to the Manager, Digital Portfolio Management Office (PMO) you will work within the Digital PMO team and use your expert skills and experience in project management and associated knowledge areas to lead key portfolio-level functions such as:
- manage the portfolio pipeline
- undertake all aspects of performance monitoring and reporting across the digital portfolio
- manage interdependencies between digital programs and projects
- oversight of digital program and project risks and issues, including:
- risk profiling of digital initiatives
- escalation of risks/issues to the portfolio level
- analysis of common themes and development of mitigation strategies.
Key knowledge and experience
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Program/project management – Proven experience in a leadership role involving coaching and supporting project managers and teams that contributed to achieving delivery success.
- PMO services – Demonstrated knowledge of portfolio/program/project management or delivery office support functions, frameworks, toolsets, methodologies and best practice approaches and the ability to provide pragmatic advice in relation to them.
- Governance – Proven experience in supporting effective governance through decision, risk, issues and reporting practices that promote effective outcomes.
- Stakeholder management – Experience in stakeholder management including the ability to collaborate with both internal and external parties, establish rapport and persuade others by cultivating productive working relationships.
- Communication and influence – Excellent oral and written communication skills including excellent negotiation, consultation and facilitation skills at all levels in a complex digital program/project delivery environment.
- Problem-solving and innovation – Proven high-level analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and the ability to explain and document complex concepts and provide innovative solutions that promote a continuous improvement culture.
